My three favorite types of outdoor landscape lighting have to be accent lights such as the garden rock light, bollards and spotlights. Nothing looks nicer on a warm summer night than when your favorite focal landscaping points are lit up as if the lights illuminate right out of the earth.
- Garden rock lights are natural looking landscape rock perfect for lighting up shrubs, trees and walls. Low profile designs and concealed light source makes this lighting easy to hide in flower beds and other styles of landscape. Features include a low voltage 35-watt flood lamp, durable fiberglass construction and come in canyon (brown) or slate (gray) finishes. You can also find rock lights that are solar powered needed no energy source at all.
- Bollard outdoor lights come in all shapes, sizes and finish from stonework to brass or aluminum and are generally a short tower style. Low voltage and energy is used with this type of lighting with easy installation and can add character to a home. Popular areas for Bollard lighting include the home entranceway, driveway and the start of any walkway.
- Spotlights are just that, a light fixture that specifically illuminates a particular area such as a palm tree, waterfall or landscape wall. This outdoor lighting is particularly used for a large yard/patio, driveway and are very often used for security lighting.
