Halo Lighting began its life in 1956, when it formed as an incorporated company. Soon it had bought a warehouse in Canada, and had taken its first steps to becoming the major lighting company that it has now become.
Halo was founded with a particular philosophy. It wanted to manufacture lighting fixtures that were easy to install and service, but were attractive at the same time. Initially Halo only had six product lines and one factory, but since then it has grown into a very much larger company. Along the way Halo Lighting changed its name to Cooper Lighting, although it still retains the name of Halo in a certain type of its lighting lines.
So what are Halo lights and how can they be used to their full advantage in your home? Halo is now a major brand of track and surface lights, as well as providing recessed lights for the home.
Halo manufacture a range of architectural track lighting systems, which can either be straight or flexible, depending on the area you have in mind for the lighting. Lighting for this system ranges from the spotlight style Synchro lamps to more traditional classic lights, to shades made from marbled glass. Halo also offers a track lighting system in a variety of brands. Lazer allows monopoint installation, so you don’t need to install a whole track. Linea allows small lighting tracks for small, lightweight lights. Finally, Power trac is for those high powered lights, allowing greater power load. All these different track systems offer a good range of lamps to go with them. The best thing for a customer to do is to have a good look at the brochure, and consider what would best suit their room and budget.
Halo also manufacture a range of recessed lighting, particularly downlighting. Downlighting is great if you want to really bring out a certain wall in your room, particularly if you have a painting or artwork you want to exhibit in an alcove.
